Casa Defrà "Supervenetian" Amarone della Valpolicella 2021 is a tribute to Italian tradition, often dubbed one of the "kings" of wines from the Peninsula. This intensely garnet red wine is the result of a careful selection of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, left to dry for several months before fermentation to concentrate their aromas and sugars. The aromatic profile is dominated by black cherries, plums, and blackberries, elegantly complemented by balsamic notes, chocolate, and vanilla derived from maturation in barriques. On the palate, the wine is robust, warm, and harmonious, with soft tannins offering a long and pleasant finish. It is an excellent meditation wine but also pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game, or platters of highly aged and spicy cheeses such, as Gorgonzola or Grana Padano.
