These terms and conditions establish the general framework for using the Istorii cu Cașcaval website, as well as the conditions applicable to orders placed online through it. Accessing, browsing, and using the website, as well as placing an order, represents the acceptance of these conditions by the user or buyer.

For the purpose of these terms and conditions, the terms below have the following meaning:
Seller / Company – Istorii cu Cașcaval S.R.L., the website operator and provider of products sold online.
User – any natural or legal person who accesses, navigates, or interacts with the website.
Buyer / Client – any natural or legal person who places an order through the website.
Consumer – a natural person who orders products for personal needs, unrelated to professional or commercial activity.
Online order – the request sent through the website, by which the client expresses their intention to purchase one or more products.
Distance contract – a contract concluded between the seller and the buyer without the simultaneous physical presence of the parties, through the exclusive use of distance communication means, in accordance with Romanian legislation.
Goods / Products – the products presented on the website and offered for sale.
By using the website and/or by placing an order, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and fully accept these terms of use.
These conditions apply to all visitors of the website, as well as to all buyers who place online orders.
The website is intended for presenting products and facilitating online order placement.
Users undertake to use the website legally, responsibly, and without causing prejudice to the company, other users, or the platform's operation.
It is prohibited to:
unauthorized access to data or protected sections of the website;
copy, reproduce, distribute, or use the content of the website without the company's prior written consent;
use the website for fraudulent, abusive purposes or contrary to the current legislation in Romania.
Orders can be placed online through the website.
By completing the order, the buyer submits a firm request to purchase the selected products. The distance contract is considered concluded at the moment the order is confirmed by the seller, through the communication means used by the company.
The company reserves the right to contact the client to confirm the order, verify the provided data, or clarify certain aspects related to product availability, delivery, or payment.
To place an order, the client may be asked to provide data such as: first name, last name, phone number, delivery address, email address, and other information necessary for order processing.
The client is obliged to provide true, complete, and accurate information. The company cannot be held liable for delays, inability to deliver, or other consequences resulting from the provision of erroneous, incomplete, or outdated data.
Prices displayed on the website are expressed in RON (Romanian Lei) and include VAT, in accordance with Romanian legislation, and represent the prices applicable at the time of placing the order.
In certain situations, the final cost of the order may differ from the initially estimated cost, including in the following cases:
lack of products in stock, in which case certain products may be removed from the order;
replacement of products, with the client's consent, with equivalent products;
products sold by kilogram / by weight, for which an indicative price may be displayed on the website, and the final value may be lower or higher depending on the actual weight of the delivered product.
For products sold by weight, the buyer accepts that the final price is determined by the actual quantity delivered, not solely by the estimated value initially displayed on the website.
Upon receiving the order, the client is obliged to check the integrity and quantity of the products according to the fiscal document.
The company may provide clients with one or more of the following payment methods:
online payment by bank card;
card payment on delivery;
cash payment on delivery;
other payment methods displayed on the website at the time of the order.
Online payments are processed through secure systems, in accordance with the standards of payment service providers.
In the case of bank card payments, there may be technical or banking procedures for authorization, validation, or temporary reservation of amounts, in accordance with the policies of the involved financial institutions.
For orders containing products sold by kilogram / by weight, when paying by bank card, an amount representing up to 20% of the estimated cost of the order, excluding delivery cost, may be temporarily reserved, in accordance with the policies of payment processors.
After the final processing and invoicing of the order, the difference between the reserved amount and the actually due amount is refunded to the user, in accordance with applicable banking procedures.
Product delivery is carried out according to the conditions, terms, and delivery areas indicated on the website or communicated to the client upon order confirmation.
The company makes every effort to respect the estimated delivery times, but these may vary depending on product availability, order volume, logistical conditions, or other objective circumstances.
In cases where delivery cannot be made due to reasons attributable to the client, including, but not limited to:
lack of response to the courier's calls;
providing a wrong, incomplete, or non-existent address;
failure to pick up the order at the time of delivery,
the company reserves the right to refuse to refund the costs associated with the order and/or delivery, to the extent permitted by Romanian legislation.
Alcoholic products can only be purchased by persons who are at least 18 years old.
By placing an order containing alcoholic products, the client declares, on their own responsibility, that they are at least 18 years old.
The company reserves the right to request proof of age upon delivery and to refuse the handover of alcoholic products if the recipient does not meet the legal conditions.
The company strives to ensure that product availability information is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. However, there may be situations where certain products displayed on the website are no longer available at the time of order processing.
In such cases, the company may:
inform the client about the unavailability of the product;
propose, with the client's consent, replacement with a similar product;
remove the unavailable product from the order;
update the final order value based on the actual content delivered.
Refunds will generally be made by the same payment method used to pay for the order, in accordance with Romanian legislation.
Consumers benefit from the right of withdrawal from the contract, without giving any reason, within 14 calendar days from the date they physically acquire the products, in accordance with Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014.
Products that, by their nature, cannot be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene and have been unsealed by the consumer, as well as perishable products or those that can deteriorate quickly, are exempt from the right of withdrawal.
Total or partial refund of amounts may occur in situations where the company cannot execute the order fully or partially, or in other cases provided by law.
The company cannot be obliged to refund the amounts related to an order if the non-execution of delivery or the impossibility of completing it was due to the client's fault.

The entire content of the website, including, but not limited to, texts, images, graphic elements, logos, trade names, databases, and other materials, is the property of Istorii cu Cașcaval S.R.L. or is legally used by the company.
It is prohibited to copy, distribute, publish, modify, transmit, reproduce, or exploit the content of the website, in whole or in part, without the company's prior written consent.
Personal data provided by users and buyers is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian legislation.

Upon delivery, the client is obliged to check the received products for integrity, quantity, and conformity.
Any complaint must be made at the time of receipt or within the period provided by applicable law.
Neither party is liable for non-performance of obligations if this was caused by a force majeure event, in accordance with Romanian legislation.
The company reserves the right to modify or update these terms of use at any time.
These conditions are governed by the current legislation in Romania.
Any misunderstanding will be resolved amicably. Otherwise, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Romania.
